BOXER RESCUE

CASA OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire is recruiting committed volun­teers who enjoy a serious chal­lenge to train to be guardians ad litem and advocate for chil­dren in their own communities. GOODWILL GOODGUIDES

Goodwill Goodguides, a national youth mentoring program, and Child and Family Services of New Hampshire seek volunteer mentors to work with youths ages 13-17 who are at risk for making harmful choices. ANIMAL RESCUE NETWORK OF NEW ENGLAND

The Animal Rescue Network of New England is a nonprofit organization that rescues pets that are scheduled for death row from the South because there simply are not enough homes. BARNYARD BUDDIES

Barnyard Buddies at Touch­stone Farm home of Horse Power in Temple is seeking fun-loving and responsible vol­unteers. Must be 12 or older and enjoy being around people and animals. Sessions run 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday. In­formation: Terri at 654-6308.

GARDENING MENTORS

The 4-H Green Thumb Team, an initiative of the New Hamp­shire Common Ground Garden Project, a program of the UNH Cooperative Extension 4-H, is recruiting new volunteers. The garden is located at the Massabesic Audubon Center in Auburn and serves as an educational site for inner city youths ages 5-14. Volunteer mentors guide youths in ex­ploring gardening through fun, hands-on activities. In addition to teaching children, the Gar­den Project donates produce to the New Hampshire Food Bank. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities in addition to mentoring youth. HHHC HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS

Home Health & Hospice Care is seeking volunteers to work in the hospice program with home-bound patients and clients who live in Amherst, Hollis, Hudson, Merrimack, Milford, Nashua, Pelham and Greater Manchester. Free training covers a variety of topics. Individuals interested in hospice training for per­sonal or professional reasons may attend for a $100 fee. Call for training schedule. MEALS ON WHEELS DRIVERS NEEDED

Meals on Wheels urgently needs volunteers to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens and disabled adults from 10:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. in Bedford, Merrimack, Milford and Nashua. Just a few hours of your assistance on the weekday of your choice can help the elderly and disabled remain healthy and live inde­pendently at home. POWER OF FLOWERS PROJECT

The Power of Flowers Project is seeking volunteers to create small, individual arrangements of refreshed and recycled flow­ers donated from weddings, funerals and party events. Flowers are then delivered free to seniors, veterans, hospital patients and others in need. Floral-arranging experience isn’t required; we will train you. Other volunteer opportunities include picking up or delivering flowers and fundraising. Hours are flexible and vary accord­ing to donations and your level of interest. RED CROSS BLOOD SERVICES

Volunteers are needed to staff area blood drives. Duties entail serving refreshments to donors, welcoming donors and helping them with registra­tion, and escorting donors to lounges and the canteen area. Information: 1-800-262-2660 or 625-1951.

UPREACH

UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center, 153 Paige Hill Road, Goffstown, is a nonprofit orga­nization dedicated to improv­ing the lives of children and adults with disabilities through partnering with the horse to provide therapeutic riding and driving lessons. Volunteers are needed in hour-long time slots, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday to serve as leaders and sidewalkers with UpReach participants.
