Local business aids Share school-supply dr

MILFORD – Local residents and businesses may help those less fortunate in the community by bringing school supplies to the Edward Jones branch office during regular business hours from through Thursday, Aug. 6.

"As our world becomes more global, competition within our younger generations continues to rise, emphasizing the importance of a quality education," Edward Jones financial adviser Trent Blalock said. "I’m proud to support the academic development of young minds in this community through this summer’s school supply donation program.

"I’m asking the Souhegan Valley residents to donate school supplies or volunteer their time. These donations can add value, as one more student will be provided with the appropriate tools to begin or continue his or her learning and development."

Items needed for the school supply drive include backpacks, flash drives, pencils, durable plastic 1- and 2-inch binders, notebooks, calculators, pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, glue sticks, filler paper, dividers, post-notes, highlighters, crayons, boxes of tissues, pen/ pencil cases and book covers.

Proceeds will benefit Share Outreach. The branch address is 64 South St.
