Farm council seeks agricultural workers

The New England Farm Workers Council is a federally funded nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the employment and training needs of low-income farm workers.

The NEFWC can provide assistance in the areas of resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills and job searching, and may also be able to offer financial support for training and other related assistance.

The program allows for personal attention and flexibility to help you reach your goals, whether you want to advance in agriculture or explore other career possibilities.

You may be eligible for the program if you have worked five weeks or earned $800 in agriculture within the past two years, live in a low-income household, are a New Hampshire resident and are legally able to work in the U.S.

Dependants of farm workers may also be eligible.

The program seeks employment opportunities and helps place participants in jobs. Businesses are asked to let the council know if you are hiring. An ideal partnership with an employer is one where the employer refers employees to the council and the council, in turn, can help recruit workers to fill positions.
