A supernatural evening

AMHERST – The Am­herst Town Library pres­ents a Halloween special event for adults, "A Su­pernatural Evening," on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Main Reading Room.

Presenter Jeff Belanger is one of the most visible and prolific paranormal researchers today. He is the Emmy-nominated host and producer of the "New England Legends" series which debuted on PBS in October 2013.

Since 1997, Belanger has interviewed thou­sands of eyewitnesses to paranormal occurrences. He is the author of a dozen books on the paranormal, published in six differ­ent languages. In January 2014, he was asked to give a TEDx in New York City and in July 2015 he lec­tured at the MENSA Na­tional Conference.

Belanger seeks out ghosts, monsters, and leg­ends all over the world. His talk presents high­lights from his own ad­ventures, a look at the investigation process, and compelling audio and visual paranormal evi­dence. Not just ghost sto­ries, Belanger will delve into the reasons behind the phenomena.

Belanger is also the host of the cable/Web talk show, "30 Odd Min­utes," which is available in over 9 million homes in the U.S., Europe, and on Sky TV. He has writ­ten for the Boston Globe and USA Today, and has served as the writer and researcher on numerous television series includ­ing Ghost Adventures, Paranormal Challenge, and Aftershocks on the Travel Channel. He has been a guest on hundreds of radio and TV programs including The History Channel, PBS, the CBS News Early Show, FOX, NBC, ABC, and CBS af­filiates, NPR, the BBC, Living TV (UK) and many others.
