Task force planned to help Wilton

WILTON – Selectmen met March 14 with Andre Garron of the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension’s Business Retention and Expansion Program to continue talks about the town’s economic future.

A leadership task force of five to 10 people will do a survey of the town’s businesses, determine the economic base, discover what the current problems are and try to find solutions. From that information, a strategic plan will be developed. The most recent survey listed 227 businesses, all of which will be surveyed to learn their concerns. "Every community has its challenges," Garron said. He added that the program is for the whole community.

Anyone interested in the program may call the town office at 654-9451.
