WILTON – The weather was perfect for the second annual Teddy Bear Parade on Saturday.

The parade formed in the Riverview Mills parking lot, and included a dozen decorated floats full of children with their favorite stuffed friends – mostly bears, but not all. There was one big pink shark.

A police cruiser led the way down Main Street and the fire/rescue truck brought up the end, both with appropriate sound effects.

And there were balloons, kazoos and bubbles. The Easter Bunny came along and joined the march.

The event was sponsored by the Wilton Community Center and the Main Street Association. The carts for the floats were supplied by The House By The Side Of The Road.

The parade ended at the library, where the marchers had a scavenger hunt, stories about bears and refreshments.

The event began with a waffle and sausage breakfast sponsored by the Fire Department.
