Jan. 4 program set

On Thursday, Jan. 4, the Amherst Garden Club welcomes Paul Koehler and his presentation on “Sustainable Landscape Design.”

Paul’s program on landscape design will cover conservation of natural resources, environmental impact awareness, performing a sustainability audit, design functionality, sustainable design with emphasis on minimal maintenance, combining hardscapes and finally executing the perfect design plan.

Paul is the owner of Koehler Landscape Construction Services, Inc., in Amherst. In addition, Paul and his company are known for giving back to the community in their work with New Hampshire Breast Coalition and by painting their snow plows pink is support of breast cancer Awareness.

The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 303 Route 101, Amherst. Following the business meeting and refreshments, the program will begin at 10:30. The public is welcome to attend with no fee.
