Winning public speakers

Jordan Remar of Hollis, left, and Ben Gambuzza of Pepperell, Mass., are finalists in the Eleanor Crow Public Speaking Contest held annually among the graduating class at Applewild School in Fitchburg, Mass. Both boys are eighth-graders at the school. The contest winner will be announced at graduation in June. Jordan’s speech topic was called “Petting a Dog,” and Ben’s topic was “Patriotism.”
