Humane Society for Greater Nashua

Hi! Lil Cat here! I’m at the shelter with my best friend, Rooster, and we need to be adopted together. Rooster was camera shy, so it is just my photo you see, but we actually look a lot alike. We’re both mellow, friendly boys, though I’m a bit more of a lap cat, and he is a bit more adventurous than me. You see, we both used to be indoor/outdoor kitties and enjoy exploring our world. Rooster needs a bit of dental work done, which the shelter will provide, but he can go home under the foster-to-adopt program. After the dental work is done he can be adopted formally. Don’t miss this chance to welcome two handsome, happy boys into your home!

Spring is time for new beginnings, and I hope to begin spring in my new home! I’m Abigail, a sweet, friendly, 8-year-old lady who will be a loving companion just as long as I’m your one and only feline friend. I’m seeking a quiet home with people who can give me plenty of good food to eat, a warm, sunny spot to sleep, regular brushings for my long fur, and shower me with attention for the rest of my life! Yes, it’s just that simple! When you’re 8 in cat years, you get to call the shots. Well-cared-for pets like me offer years of love and affection to their families. Please come by and adopt me today!

Lucky Lucie is a 1-year-old Labrador retriever/terrier mix weighing 60 pounds. She raised eight babies as a very young mom. She’s happy she has been spayed and can enjoy her youth living life full-throttle. Lucy is very social and loving, and will charm you from the moment you meet her. She would do best in an active home, possibly with a compatible dog friend and older children. She is very sweet and will make an incredible addition to your family. She is well-behaved indoors and house trained. Lucy would love spending time at the dog park, hiking, learning obedience or agility, swimming and just being part of the family. If you’re looking for a great companion to work out with, adopt Lucy. She promises to motivate you, all for the low cost of some kibble and a place to lay her head. Be sure to check out her video online!

Hours are by appointment only. For more information, visit, email or call 233-4801. Meet our adoptable pets at our monthly Pet Adoption Day at the Pelham Congregational Church, 3 Main St. The next one is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 26.
