Applewild to hold open house, offers scholarships to NH students

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Applewild School announced its New Hampshire AppleCore Scholarship Initiative, designed to recognize and attract talented students from all New Hampshire towns, beginning in the 2015-16 school year.

Transportation is available from Greater Nashua. The school serves a diverse group of learners from more than 30 towns in southern New Hampshire and central Massachusetts, with a small international component, in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school has offered scholarships for many years in keeping with its belief that a diverse community enhances and enriches the educational experience for all students.

Scholarships for New Hampshire students are offered to the top applicants in grades 4-6 and provide annual grants that range from $1,000 up to half tuition. The scholarships renew annually with continued demonstration of academic success.

Families who need additional support are encouraged to apply for financial aid in addition to the scholarship.

Applewild will host its winter admissions open house at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24. Interested families may preregister at applewild.org/openhouse. Guests will be treated to “A Taste of Applewild,” including a musical presentation and activities fair led by teachers; opportunities to meet administrators, current students and families; and information on the application process, including scholarships and financial aid. The event will conclude with the family-style lunch that is a daily part of the life of an Applewild student.
