Hiring our Heroes job fair planned in Manchester

MANCHESTER – New Hampshire Employment Security and partners will present a Hiring our Heroes Job and Resource Fair from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Sweeney American Legion Post, 251 Maple St.

The event will offer opportunities for job seekers interested in entry-level, as well as skilled and professional, positions. The fair welcomes all veterans and veteran-friendly employers, and is open to all job seekers.

“Events like the Hiring our Heroes Job and Resource Fair, which connect New Hampshire’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are a critical part of our efforts to strengthen our innovation economy,” Gov. Maggie Hassan said. “By sponsoring this job and resource fair, New Hampshire Employment Security is helping to support a strong middle class and a stronger, more innovative New Hampshire.”

Also supporting the event are the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the New Hampshire Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the New Hampshire National Guard, the New Hampshire Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service, the American Legion, Goodwill Industries International and NBC News.

“Job creation is the No. 1 priority of New Hampshire Employment Security,” said George Copadis, commissioner of New Hampshire Employment Security, “and with each job and resource fair and with all of our re-employment programs provided at each of our local offices located across the state, we are delivering on our promises to connect our residents with real opportunities.

“The Hiring our Heroes Job and Resource Fair is a great opportunity for employers to gain access to a local ready and willing workforce. Our men and women in uniform represent the best of our country, and helping our returning veterans get back to work must be a top priority.”
