Leadership NH announces Class of 2016

Leadership New Hampshire, whose mission is “building a community of informed and engaged leaders,” announced its Class of 2016.

The 39 associates include people from across New Hampshire who will participate in a 10-month program. These individuals were selected through a competitive process and will begin their educational journey this fall with a retreat.

LNH, which has a nearly 25-year history in the state, has almost 800 alumni who are working to strengthen New Hampshire communities and increase civic engagement. Graduates hold leadership positions in the private, nonprofit and governmental sectors across the state.

Local associates participating are:

FROM HOLLIS: Lynn Post, president, The Post Group; Jonathan Thyng, associate medical director for Primary Care, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua.

FROM BEDFORD: Candice Benson, CEO, Benson Consulting; Joseph Raczka, vice president of corporate development, Dyn; Michael Skelton, president and CEO, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce; Adrian Thomas, orthopaedic spine surgeon, New Hampshire NeuroSpine Institute.

FROM LITCHFIELD: Derek Barka, director of engineering, SilverTech.

FROM NASHUA: Kristi Durette, director of alumni relations, Southern New Hampshire University.

Each year’s class of associates attends 11 required and two optional seminar days held around the state. These provide an in-depth exploration of a topic of timely importance to New Hampshire, such as demographic changes, the economy, families, criminal justice, education, culture and arts, community leadership, government and politics, and health care.
