Nominations sought for Volunteer NH’s Spirit of NH Awards

CONCORD – Do you know someone in your commu­nity who goes above and beyond to give back? If so, sub­mit a nomination for Volunteer NH’s 2015 Spirit of New Hampshire Awards.

The awards will be presented Tuesday, Nov. 10, with Bellwether Community Credit Union as "Legacy Sponsor." Last year, more than 100 awards were given, recognizing the efforts of thousands of volunteers.

The Spirit of New Hampshire Awards include these cat­egories:

Volunteer Service Awards (individual) – Presented indi­viduals in the categories of Youth, Adult, Older Adult (65 or older) and Group.

Program Champion Awards (organization/business) – Presented to organizations that provide structure and sup­port for their employees’ volunteer efforts in the categories of Nonprofit, Business and Education.

Outstanding Service and Champion Awards – Present­ed to one recipient in each category: Youth, Adult, Old­er Adult and Group. The award highlights volunteers and champions who exemplify the power of volunteers in New Hampshire.

Spirit of New Hampshire Award – Presented to one nominee who demonstrates extraordinary volunteerism and contributions to his or her community. The recipient will be chosen from all Volunteer Service Award nomina­tions received.
