Brookline Fire Dept. honored

BROOKLINE – These members of the Brookline Fire Department were honored by the New Hampshire Fire & Emergency Medical Services Committee of Merit on Monday, Sept. 28, at the 24th annual Fire Service Awards and Recognition Presentation.

Fire Service Unit Citation award: Chief Charles E. Corey Sr., Assistant Chief David Flannery, Capt. Scott Boggis, Lt. Jean-Paul Royea, Lt. Brian Moore, Lt. Barry Doyle, Lt. Charles E. Corey Jr. and firefighters Steven Whitcomb, Paul Bourassa, Jonathan Boyle, Peter Bretschneider, James Boyle, Paul Knightly, David Cook, Joseph Cooper, Timothy Brown, Richard Montgomery, Meaghan Fricke, Paul Hakala and Philip Soletsky.

Class 2 Medal of Valor: Flannery, Royea and Soletsky.

The awards were presented to the individuals in recognition of their acts of heroism while in the line of duty during a residential fire on June 24, 2014. Members of the Brookline Ambulance were honored at the Sept. 28 ceremony, as well.
