Brookline Library Friends welcome help with book, bake sale

BROOKLINE – The Friends of the Brookline Public Library will hold its Paperback Book & Bake Sale from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Old Ambulance Bay, also known as the Annex, 4 Main St.

The building, recently renovated and painted white with burgundy roof and bay doors, will house for sale paperbacks, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and other items. The sale will include a three-bucks-a-bag special from 2-4 p.m.

The sale continues to fund eight museum passes, the library’s summer reading program, purchases not covered by the yearly budget and part of the weekly music program. The group welcomes assistance with the book sale and with the bake sale.

All kinds of goodies are anticipated for the bake sale, such as quick breads, cookies, cupcakes, brownies and whatever awesome items are donated by the bakers of Brookline. The group does ask for individually wrapped items because of limited facilities at the Old Ambulance Bay. Sign-up sheets are at the library.
