Hollis Arts Society to host Holiday Show

The Hollis Arts Society will present its eighth annual Holiday Show on Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 14-15, in support of developing and promoting local artists.

For the first time, the event will be held at Hollis Brookline Middle School, 25 Main St.

Art students from the school will have a booth among society member exhibitors.

Hours will be 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. both days. Admission is free.

Exhibits will include fine art and crafts created by about three dozen local artists. Artwork created in a variety of media will be on display, including photography, oil, watercolor, alcohol ink, colored pencil, sculpture, textile, fused glass and jewelry.

The event will support Arts4Vets, the society’s philanthropy arm, which helps local veterans in need and their families. Attendees can make donations at the show or participate in a silent auction offering works of art, gift baskets and gift certificates, with a portion of the proceeds going to Arts4Vets.
