Challenge for Recovery match raised to $135,000

MERRIMACK – New Hampshire residents and businesses stepped forward in the last two weeks to answer Common Man restaurants owner Alex Ray’s $100,000 Challenge for Recovery.

They exceeded the $100,000 goal to improve options in New Hampshire for friends, family and neighbors seeking recovery from addiction. With the deadline Sunday, Nov. 1, Ray, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the Easter Seals board of directors increased the matching gift challenge to $135,000, bringing the potential total amount that can be raised to $270,000.

"New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is proud to partner with Alex Ray and Easter Seals in extending this challenge for the expansion of Farnum North. The foundation has a longstanding commitment to address drug and alcohol issues through our Substance Use Disorders Portfolio," said Tym Rourke, director of substance use disorders grantmaking and strategic initiatives for the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
