Hunt, Harbor Homes collaborate on donations

NASHUA – Hunt at Home members and staff combined efforts with Harbor Homes recently to donate blankets to those in need.

For every person who attended a Hunt at Home information luncheon, which was held at Valentino’s Restaurant in Hudson on Dec. 10, Hunt at Home purchased a blanket to donate to the clients of Harbor Homes.

Boxes of the blankets were delivered to Harbor Homes on Jan. 7, and were immediately distributed to deserving families who could use them over the cold winter.

"They went to people who were in serious need of them, and we truly appreciate it," said Donna Albertelli Collins, M.Ed., development manager at Harbor Homes. "Believe me when I tell you that clients often cry when they get a nice new blanket or set of sheets, or just basic things the rest of us take for granted."

"We understand that not everyone is fortunate enough to have a warm home during the winter, and we wanted to do something to help," said Caroline Kirkfield, vice president of sales and marketing for Hunt Senior Living. "Just knowing that our donation has made such a difference to a family this holiday season is a very comforting thought."
