NE Brass to present concert

NASHUA – The Nashua Community Concert Association will present the New England Brass Quintent at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, in the Keefe Auditorium at Elm Street Middle School.

This dynamic group has been performing throughout New England and beyond since 1980. The ensemble is headed by Jay Daly, who is "one of the premier trumpeters in the Northeast" according to Peter Mansfield, arranger for the Boston Pops. The New England Brass plays an eclectic repertoire of music, and was named "one of the finest performing brass chamber groups in the country" by New Hampshire Magazine.

The program is titled "New England Brass Goes to Broadway." They will entertain guests with selections from "Porgy and Bess," "Three Penny Opera," "Hello Dolly," "Oklahoma," "West Side Story," "The Music Man" and more.

Daly has been performing as a soloist and with orchestras and big bands for nearly 50 years. This show includes a percussionist added to the quintet.
