Wild Salamander welcomes spring with ‘Fresh’ art show
HOLLIS – Spring is officially here for Wild Salamander Creative Arts Center as they open their doors for several events, including a juried group art show, spring class session and NH Open Doors.
Wild Salamander has been open to the community since 2012, and invites artists to submit work to the art show "Fresh," running from April 1-May 14. Artists are asked to submit one piece of art expressing their interpretation of the bounty and beauty found in the fields, the orchards, the pastures or the homesteads that make up our rich New England home. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Friday, April 1, from 6-8 p.m.
For the second time, Wild Salamander is participating in NH Open Doors on April 9-10, a local touring and shopping event throughout the state. During these two days, they will open their studio doors to the public and will have live demonstrations by the artists themselves, and new art and fine craft in the "Wild Little Art Shop," which displays the work of dozens of local and regional artisans.
Summer is just around the corner, and Wild Salamander offers summer camps for youths, and also classes for teens and adults. Camps are available for children ages 3-10 in half-day and full-day options from June 13-Aug. 5.
Wild Salamander is located at 30 Ash Street. For more information, visit www.wildsalamander.com or call 465-9453.
