Brookline PTO holding online auction fundraiser
BROOKLINE – The Brookline PTO will host its fourth annual auction to benefit Richard Maghakian Memorial School and Captain Samuel Douglass Academy online from April 7-16.
This year’s auction has lots of cool items to bid on for the home, health and beauty items, sports memorabilia, overnight stays, camps, museum passes, restaurant and other shopping gift certificates, and more.
Each year, the PTO coordinates and funds all of the in-school and off-site programming and curriculum enrichment Brookline elementary children enjoy throughout the school year. As a nonprofit organization, all of the funds the PTO raises go directly to covering the cost or supplementing the cost of great programs such as visits from the Museum of Science on electromagnetism, environmental science visits from Squam Lake or field trips to Beaver Brook. The students also have the opportunity to travel back in time and meet and learn from the life story of Benjamin Franklin.
The PTO has had great success the last three years, with last year’s auction bringing in more than $28,000. This year, it hopes to make the auction an even bigger success.
The auction will kick off at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 7, and will close at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at www.biddingforgood.com/brooklinenhpto.
