HBHS FIRST Robotics team goes to world championship

Hollis Brookline High School’s FIRST Robotics team, The Force Team 1073, was selected to participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship in St. Louis from April 27-30 to compete against other top-ranking teams across the globe.

Each year, FIRST Robotics teams around the world are presented with a challenge in which they must use teamwork to complete building a robot in six weeks. This year’s challenge was "FIRST Stronghold," a castle-
conquering quest in which teams created a robot capable of overcoming defenses and placing foam "boulders" into high goals and low goals set in towers.

The team previously competed at the North Shore and Boston district events.
