Brookline Women’s Club invites women to year-end celebration

BROOKLINE – Are you a woman who wants to meet some amazing women?

Did you ever wonder what the Brookline Women’s Club and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs are all about?

Hints: The club motto is, "Friendship Through Community Service," and teh GFWC is an international organization.

Come check out the Brookline Women’s Club GFWC at its year-end celebration meeting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Brusch Hall in the back of Brookline Chapel, 36 Main St. (Route 130).

All women from any town are invited to attend this and any meeting, to ask questions and enjoy an evening out without pressure to join. And come hungry, as there will be a feast on this celebration evening.

Learn about the club’s Blueberry Bash, scholarship, fun and friendships that it makes possible for all local women. No commitment is necessary.

Each president chooses a project for her year of reign, and this year Joyce Hegarty selected The Front Door Agency. This agency’s mission is "to offer support and provide services to assist individuals and families transition from crisis to self-sufficiency."

Supplies needed are laundry baskets, detergent, fabric softener, new towels, new twin-size sheets, new twin-size pillows, new twin-size mattress pads, shampoo, conditioner, hair brushes, deodorant, toothpaste, and brushes for adults and children.

Also, new or used silverware for four, kitchen utensils, dishes for four, bakeware, pots, pans and small appliances.
