Nor’Easters gear up for 2018 Pink Ride

HOLLIS – In 2012, the inaugural Pink Ride was a handful of ladies during a snowless winter interested in snowmobile riding and ready to raise money to help bring awareness to an important cause.

Now, in 2017, it is an enthusiastic group of more than 137 snowmobilers, families, friends, neighbors, community members and other trail users coming together to enjoy a fun, outdoor event which brings a feeling of caring, hope and happiness throughout the community by raising funds for St. Joseph hospital Breast Care Center in Nashua to help in the fight against cancer.

The Pink Ride has become one of the biggest snowmobile rides in New Hampshire and during the past six years, has raised $100,000 for St. Joseph Hospital Breast Care Center. The ride, presented by the Hollis Nor’Easters Snowmobile Club, has two missions. The first and foremost mission is to raise funds for new technology and medical enhancements to be used for the care of patients in the local area to aid in the fight against cancer. The second mission is to have a community “fun” filled day with riding, food and other outdoor events that bring smiles and joy to all that attend.

Of course, the Pink Ride is the Nor’Easters main event; if you have never ridden in the Pink Ride it is a must for your bucket list. The ride is beautiful, tranquil and breathtaking especially after a new snowfall. Keeping memories close and thoughts of loved ones who have fought and are currently fighting cancer while riding through the beautiful Southern New Hampshire trails is an experience that is hard to express with words.

Adding to our event this year, will be a Vintage Snowmobile Show – prizes will be awarded. For vintage sled enthusiasts this is a must see. For more information, email hollisnoreasters@bentleymngegroup.com.

The 2018 Pink Ride will be held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 10 at Silver Lake State Park in Hollis. Sled line-up is at 9 a.m. if you are riding. Save the date and think about joining us if you ride. If you don’t ride you will have a great time just being involved. By the way I am inviting Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen to the ride this year – sometimes you never know who will show up under those helmets!

More Pink Ride information, previous years Pink Ride pictures and sponsor donation sheets can be found on the Nor’Easters website, www.noreasters.org-PINK RIDE page.

“THINK PINK THINK SNOW” looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
