YMCA receives donation from Fidelity race

MERRIMACK – On June 21, Fidelity Investments employees presented a check for $2,700 to the YMCA of Greater Nashua to benefit the Strong Kids Campaign. The donation was a result of proceeds from the firm’s annual employee Rush Hour Road Race/Walk, where 130 employees and several YMCA associates participated in a 5K road race or 2-mile walk at the firm’s campus in Merrimack.

Since 2007, hundreds of Fidelity employees have participated in the annual road race/walk, raising nearly $8,500. The Strong Kids Campaign benefits the Y Cares financial assistance program, which ensures no one is denied access to the organization’s programs and services due to an inability to pay full fees.

This year’s top road race winners were:

Males: Kevin Collins, of Nashua; Albert Wong, of Merrimack; and Kevin Ramundo of Amherst.

Females: Amy Doyle, of Merrimack; Nancy Epstein, of Merrimack; and Kim Hickman, of Merrimack.
