Dedication for road set

MANCHESTER – A dedication ceremony recognizing the completion and naming of the airport access road as Raymond Wieczorek Drive is set for Thursday, Nov. 10.

A 10 a.m. dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting will take place on the new bridge over Little Cohas Brook on the Londonderry side of the new 1.75-mile highway.

All interested persons are invited to tour the new roadway on foot or by bicycle at a public open house Nov. 10, from 9 a.m.-noon.

A fun run along the highway will begin at 9:15 a.m.

The new road, which connects the F.E. Everett Turnpike to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, has been named by state law after New Hampshire Executive Councilor Raymond Wieczorek, who also served as mayor of Manchester.

Raymond Wieczorek Drive is scheduled to open to motor vehicle traffic Friday, Nov. 11.
