Pets of the week for Dec. 1

Humane Society for Greater Nashua

CAESAR

Hi! I’m Caesar, a happy, active, 5-year-old pit bull mix who will be a great companion! I’ve been at the shelter since June, and while I love my caregivers here, all I really want this Christmas is a family of my own. I’m a big guy, but consider myself a lap dog who loves giving hugs and kisses! Since I’m a big dog, I would prefer a home with adults only or older children so we can play together. I love walks and am very well behaved on a leash. Do you have room in your heart and home for a big, lovable guy like me?

GRETCHEN

It’s me, Gretchen! I’m an independent, happy, 7-year-old cat waiting patiently for my forever family. I do enjoy my own, quiet space, as well as a little attention, so I promise I won’t take up very much of your time! I’m very happy being in the same room with my people and even lazing the day away. I love my cat bed here, which is by a window so I can watch the visitors coming into the shelter. I hope there is a nice window and bed for me in my new home! I lived with two dogs before, and I would be willing to do so again. Am I a purrfect match for you? Come and meet me to find out!

DUTCHESS

Dutch is a 4-year-old brindle Plott hound. She’s 60 pounds of sweetness, melting hearts with her chocolate brown eyes. Dutch was abandoned after giving birth and then adopted by a “forever” family who moved, but didn’t include her. Dutch’s brown eyes ask, “What have I done to be ‘jailed’ away from those I loved?” Dutch enjoys an active lifestyle and is a vigorous playmate, so older kids are preferred. She loves belly rubs, car rides, hiking and stuffed toys. Her Christmas wish is to find a true forever family, never to be abandoned again.

Hours are by appointment only. For more information, visit www.arnne.org, email info@arnne.org or call 233-4801. Meet our adoptable pets at our monthly Pet Adoption Day at the Pelham Congregational Church, 3 Main St. The next one is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 21.
