Pets of the Week for Jan. 5
Humane Society for Greater Nashua
I was found as a stray, and some nice people, who I would sit with outside, brought me into the shelter so I could find a family of my own. I can’t wait! I really like to play, and my favorite games are with a laser light and a piece of fleece wiggled around for me. I’m an independent gal, so I don’t like petting, but I’ll entertain you in other ways. I’ll rub against you and pet you, but I really don’t want that attention returned to me – just playtime! I think I wouldn’t mind living with a dog, and I’ll be good company sitting with you. Give me a chance, and you’ll see how many smiles I can bring to your home!
I’m a young and playful girl at only 2 years old. I have big, bright green eyes and am just one of the most gorgeous girls around. I know how great I am, and I want to be the queen of your home as the only pet. Trust me – I’m worth it! I love to chase a ribbon around, and the laser light is just so much fun! Once I’ve played and gotten some exercise, I might just sit with you and have a quick moment to get some love. Don’t miss out on me!

Benny was heartlessly abandoned in a deserted home. Sweet Benny is 4 years old with an ebony coat and aristocratic demeanor. She’s 10 pounds. She has one front tooth longer than the other, adding to her charm. Benny prefers affection on her terms, but will come to you for “lovies” and will lavish you with kisses. “Little Miss Independence” values solitude and uninterrupted beauty naps. Her favorite hobbies are playing, scratching her kitty post and sipping from the bathroom faucet to “help” during teeth brushing time. She peacefully coexists with another cat and dogs. We recommend a home with adults or teens who will respect her personal space. If you’re seeking a regal beauty to adorn your home and provide a calming presence rather than being underfoot and demanding, Benny is your girl!
ARNNE cats must be kept indoors only. Hours are by appointment only. For more information, visit www.arnne.org, email email@example.com or call 233-4801. Pet Adoption Day at the Pelham Congregational Church, 3 Main St., is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 25.
