Pets of the week for Feb. 9

Humane Society for Greater Nashua

Hello, everyone! I’m Bentley, a 4-year-old Chihuahua waiting for my forever home at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. I’m a fun little guy who need an owner who knows about my breed and will help me gain confidence to be the best family member I can be. I really love other dogs, and would like to have a canine sibling who could show me the ropes! Playing ball is my absolute favorite thing to do. Once I’m done playing, I like to settle down and cuddle. Since I’m a bit nervous, I need a home with adults only where I have some time to adjust and get comfortable.

Hello! I’m a very friendly, mature 10-year-old girl with lots of love left to give! I have lived with cats in the past and may like to try that again. If you’re looking for a sweet kitty to add to your family, then I’m it. I lived in a quiet home previously and would like to continue with that type of environment. You can find me hanging out in the Ladies’ Lounge here, and I’m sure to win you over with my pretty looks and gentle demeanor.

Hours are noon-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, visit, call 889-2275 or email

Lucy is a lovely year-old pharaoh hound mix. She’s fawn with a black mask and flashy white socks and is 30 pounds. Dainty Lucy prances around with a high-stepping gait, begging for you to play. She walks well on leash and is learning basic manners. She’s very clean and appears to be housebroken. She will chase a ball, toss it around, and then bring it back to you and repeat. Sweet Lucy will curl up on your lap and fall asleep. Lucy doesn’t shed much and enjoys being brushed. Lucy is a little nervous around fast-moving objects so we prefer a quieter adult home or one with compassionate teenagers. She may enjoy the company of another compatible dog.

Hours are by appointment only. For more information, visit, email or call 233-4801. Meet our adoptable pets at our monthly Pet Adoption Day at the Pelham Congregational Church, 3 Main St. The next one is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 22.
