Pets of the week for March 16

PRINCESS, AKA LUCY
Lucy is a lovely year-old pharaoh hound mix weighing 30 pounds. She’s fawn with a black mask and white socks. Dainty Lucy prances around with a high-stepping gait, begging for playtime. She walks well on leash, but lacks confidence and is learning basic manners. She’s very intelligent and food motivated. She loves to play fetch, get brushed and play with interactive toys. Lucy enjoys snuggling. She’s somewhat unsure and reactive around fast-moving objects. She would do best with experienced dog owners willing to redirect her appropriately through patient training and socialization, thereby becoming her gentle pack leader. We prefer a quieter adult home or one with compassionate teenagers. She may enjoy the company of another compatible dog or dog-savvy cat. If you’re looking for a little leprechaun to curl up with on St. Patrick’s Day, adopt Lucy. She’ll bring you more happiness than any old pot of gold!
