Merrimack-based HHHC holds 23rd annual golf tournament

MERRIMACK – The sun shined over the dew-covered greens of Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua on Monday, May 19, as Home Health & Hospice Care held its 23rd annual golf tournament. Sky Meadow Country Club hosted 128 golfers who gathered to play and help support HHHC’s pediatric and home care programs.

The pediatric service tends to young patients with serious illnesses such as cancer or heart ailments and educates the families on providing the best possible care for their sick child.

Golfers began their morning with mimosas from Horizon Beverage Co. and breakfast on the patio before teeing off at 8:30 a.m. They competed in friendly competitions such as closest to the pin, hole-in-one and closest to the line. They and their guests also enjoyed a complimentary scotch tasting at the Bellwether Community Credit Union’s 19th Hole Reception.

During the Merrimack County Savings Bank barbecue dinner, guests listened to stories from HHHC’s pediatric nurse, Emily Sindoni, who was accompanied by Brock Cruz, a 9-month-old pediatric patient. Kevin Slattery and Paul Eason were auctioneers for silent and live auctions.

“It is only with the generosity of individual donors and the business community that we are able to provide this extraordinary care. This is our 23rd annual tournament, and we are so grateful to our ‘Gold Sponsors,’ Cityside Management Corp. and WZID; ‘Silver Sponsors,’ Associated Radiologists, P.A., CGI Business Solutions, Atlantic Charter Insurance Company and The Harbor Group; along with many wonderful sponsors, golfers, guests and auction donors who made this tournament such a huge success,” said HHHC development associate Paula Telage.
