Adult Learning Center seeks volunteer tutors

NASHUA – The Adult Learning Center is seeking volunteer tutors for the 2014-15 school year.

Each year, the center helps hundreds of adult basic education learners achieve their goals. The Adult Learner Services office offers the students free tutorial assistance in math, reading, English (for speakers of other languages) and HiSET (formerly GED) preparation.

No special skills are necessary to become a tutor. Connie Cullen, coordinator of the Adult Learner Services program, looks for commonalities between student and tutor so the match works well for both parties. The commitment is two hours a week.

For more information, visit, email Cullen at or call 882-9080, ext. 208.
