Merrimack Recreation plans DC sightseeing trip

Join the Merrimack, Amherst and Milford recreation departments as they travel to Washington, D.C., for sightseeing and the Cherry Blossom Festival from April 9-12.

Experience all of the history and attractions of this great American city.

The tour cost of $559 per person for a double, $549 for a triple, $689 for a single and $459 per child with two adults.

It includes five meals, bus transportation, tour guide and overnight stay at the Embassy Suites at Tysons Corner.

The sightseeing tour includes the Capitol Building; White House; Embassy Row; National Cathedral; FDR, MLK, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and World War II memorials; Holocaust Museum; Arlington National Cemetery and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; and the Smithsonian Museums.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, March 4.

An information night is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Souhegan High School in Amherst.
