Sign up to participate in Merrimack’s 4th of July parade

Planning is underway for the town of Merrimack’s annual 4th of July Parade.

The parade will begins at 1 p.m. at the Merrimack Commons parking lot, 515 Daniel Webster Highway.

Participating can be as easy as putting a flag and a sign on your vehicle and just riding along, or it can be a highly decorated float. It is a great way to show your patriotism and get some free advertising for your organization at the same time.

Organizers want the parade to be a fun, family-friendly event for all to enjoy, and the more local groups that participate, the better. All that’s asked is that your entry has a patriotic theme to it.

There is no cost to participate, but you must register in advance for the spectacular lineup of drum and bugles corps, marching bands and other entertaining participants.

To participate, visit merrimacknh.gov or merrimackparksandrec.org and click on the 4th of July link to obtain the parade application form.

Applications can be faxed to 883-5335 or mailed to Merrimack Parks & Recreation, 116 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
