Nominations sought for Anthony award
MANCHESTER – The YWCA New Hampshire is accepting nominations for the 2015 Susan B. Anthony Award.
The annual award recognizes the contributions of outstanding women who live or work in New Hampshire and exemplify the ideals of Susan B. Anthony.
Anthony, who worked for civil and political rights, equality and dignity for all people, is most recognized for her activist efforts to obtain the right for women to vote.
The recipient is recognized for her contributions to other women and the community and the way in which she has demonstrated one or more of Anthony’s qualities. These values can be demonstrated in any aspect of her life, whether personal, professional or volunteer.
The nomination deadline is Friday, Aug. 14. Nomination forms and guidelines for nominating a candidate are available at ywcanh.org.
