If you’d like to play or learn to play cribbage, drop in from 2-3 p.m. Mondays. This friendly group meets weekly in the Lowell Room upstairs.

The Merrimack Public library and Merrymac Games & Comics bring you a Dungeons & Dragons gaming night from 7-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Join other gamers for a fun-filled evening. No registration required.

MUSEUM PASSES AVAILABLE

Are you looking for great places to visit? The Merrimack Library has 14 museum passes available for cardholders. Some passes provide free admission, while others provide a discounted admission. ONLINE ACCESS TO FREE MOVIES, MUSIC

The Bedford Public Library now has public availability to thousands of movies, television shows, music albums and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopla
digital.com).

Bedford card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers.

THURSDAY THEATER IN
THE LIBRARY

Come to the Bedford Public Library on the second Thursday of the month to watch a recent movie in Blu-ray on the big screen.

There are two showings: 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Popcorn will be provided.

Free. Registration required. Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

SCRABBLE, ANYONE?

Do you like to play Scrabble or other word games? Join other word game enthusiasts at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.

MUSEUM PASSES

Use your Bedford library card and PIN to reserve a museum pass online to a wide variety of museums in New Hampshire and Boston.

Passes are picked up at the library.

ONLINE LANGUAGE LEARNING

The language learning service Transparent Language Online is available through the Bedford Public Library’s website.

Use audio and visual tools to learn essential phrases, specific words and even a foreign alphabet in your language of choice. Transparent Language also has a Language and Culture Blog teaching a country’s culture, introducing terms and providing communities of other learners.

The program also can be used on your smartphone to learn on the go.

E-BOOK SERVICE

The 3M Cloud Library includes the latest best-sellers for kids, teens and adults, as well as a selection of nonfiction which your librarians have chosen for you.

The service can be searched through the library’s online catalog, where you can check out or place a hold on a title. Then, simply open the 3M Cloud Library app on a reader, tablet, computer or smart phone & the book is available for reading.

E-BOOKS FOR KIDS
