Merrimack police provide safe place for exchanging children, items
The Merrimack Police Department is now providing two designated two parking spaces in the front parking lot of the police station dedicated to exchanging children or items. Both spaces are under 24-hour surveillance with video recording.
Police encourage the public to use the spaces when meeting an unknown person from whom you may have purchased something online. Doing this not only provides peace of mind, it also deters those who may have ill intent.
These spaces are also for video surveillance during child custody exchanges.
