Merrimack youths cast in ‘Nutcracker’
MANCHESTER – Teresina O’Hare and Sophia Hancock, of Merrimack, will perform in the Palace Theatre’s annual production of the timeless classic "The Nutcracker" in six magical performances from Nov. 27-29.
Teresina is a 15-year-old who attends the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School. Teresina is dancing the lead role of the Sugar Plum Fairy alongside guest artist Carlos Molina.
With more than 11 years of dance training, she has performed many other leading roles, including the coveted role of Clara, Chinese Ensemble, Columbine Doll and Mirliton Soloist.
"Performing in ‘The Nutcracker’ means that I get to perform onstage and share my passion for dance," Teresina said.
Teresina will be joined onstage by 11-year-old Sophia, who attends Founders Academy. Sophia has been dancing since she was 2. She will be performing the roles of Party Girl, Young Chinese and an Angel this year.
