Southern NH Expo slated for Saturday

MILFORD – The Southern New Hampshire Expo will open its doors to the public from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Hampshire Dome.

With nearly 200 vendors and many opportunities for food and fun, it is the largest business expo in New Hampshire – and it’s expected to attract about 3,000 people.

The region’s businesses, services and civic organizations will be there with exhibitors offering samples, raffles and giveaways. There will be entertainment on a big center stage, including the barbershop quartet Perfect Fourth, featuring four local men: John Potelle, Dan Wolaver, Patrick McCarty and Roger Hurd, who met as members of the Souhegan Valley Chorus.

Vouli Dance and its young dancers will bring a preview of "The Nutcracker," and Neil Stone’s Karate Academy will demonstrate moves from the Uechi-Ryu school of martial arts. Wild Encounters is bringing exotic animals, including several cats and arctic foxes, and more familiar animals, such as rabbits and possums.

And there’s a Kidz Zone, with bounce houses, face painting and other children’s activities.

Restaurants, including Giorgio’s, Subway and the cafe at the Toadstool Bookshop, will be there with samples.

The expo is sponsored by Dartmouth-Hitchcock, The Cabinet Press, Southern New Hampshire Health Services, Family Dental Care of Milford, Triangle Credit Union, Convenient MD and Service Credit Union.

It is coordinated annually by the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce, promoting economic development and business opportunities in the 11 towns of the Souhegan Valley.

In line with the expo’s theme, "The Spirit of Giving," those who bring a can of food for Share Outreach will save $1 on the price of admission.
