Bedford artist’s work in exhibit

Artist Nikki Sullivan, of Bedford, a former New Hampshire resident who has resided in Connecticut for 11 years and is now back in the state, specializes in mosaic art in all forms.

Sullivan’s works feature ancient technique and style with her mosaic fine art using hand-cut marble, stone and smalti (an Italian glass) to decorative mosaic beautifying everything from guitars to mirrors to garden decor.

Accepted into the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen last February, two of Sullivan’s works can be found in the "Insightful" exhibit running through Friday, Dec. 18, at The Gallery, adjacent to the league’s headquarters in Concord.

Sullivan’s primary focus lately is on mosaic jewelry specializing in pendants, earrings, bracelets, rings and belt buckles using tiny ceramic tiles from Morocco and an assortment of beads, metals and glass.

Sullivan’s next juried show will be at the 16th annual New England Holiday Craft Spectacular on Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 5-6, at Rockingham Park in Salem.
