Merrimack primary voting information released
Voting for the presidential primary on Tuesday, Feb. 9, will take place at Merrimack High School.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Absentee ballots for the primary are available at the town clerk’s office. Voters who are unable to vote in person because of a disability, religious observation, absence from town or whose working hours will not allow them to appear in person during the time the polls are open may apply for an absentee ballot.
People who need to register to vote may do so at the town clerk’s office during regular business hours, as well as at the polls on Election Day. Because of the anticipated high volume of voter registration, voters are encouraged to register by Saturday, Jan. 30, which is the deadline to have your name added to the checklist.
Registering by Jan. 30 will save you time during the registration process and on Election Day.
The supervisors of the checklist will hold voter registration sessions from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, and Tuesday, Jan. 26, and 11 a.m.-noon Jan. 30.
