Chef to make presentation at library
Join chef Oonagh Williams, of Gluten Free Cooking with Oonagh, while she makes a warming, comforting sweet potato, quinoa and slightly spicy sausage soup – just right for the cold, naturally gluten free and delicious.
Her presentation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Merrimack Public Library.
Williams also will demonstrate how to make an almond cake that is gluten free and flourless, and paleo made with almond flour. It’s also dairy free, since she uses coconut oil when she can.
Do you have questions about a gluten-free diet, and what’s the hype behind the surge in the media and grocery stores? Do you know how gluten affects your body, and why doctors don’t know? Williams’ reaction was never the traditional stomachache. Get some of your questions answered by a chef who has celiac disease.
Williams deals with other food allergies, as well, on a daily basis, all while making meals everyone wants to eat.
Since her diagnosis, Williams has become a national speaker, writer and coach on food for gluten free and other food allergies.
