24th annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for March 19
The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department, along with the Merrimack Friends & Families, welcome families in the community to its 24th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Wasserman Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19.
This event will be held rain or shine for Merrimack residents only.
Merrimack Friends & Families will be selling a variety of baked goods and warm beverages in the Function Hall, with all proceeds going to its charitable fund. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures, as always. Remember to bring your cameras and show us your best smiles.
The Easter Bunny will have areas of Wasserman Park set up for various age groups. The egg hunt for children ages 1-3 will begin at 10:30; ages 4-5, 10:45; ages 6-7, 11; and ages 8-10, 11:15. Please allow enough time to find the appropriate area for your child’s age group. Volunteers will be ready to assist you.
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, only those parents of toddlers and children with special needs may assist their children onto the field to find eggs. You will need to bring a basket or container for your treasures.
After the hunt, head back to the Function Hall for baked goodies, warm beverages, a chance to redeem prizes (if you’re so lucky to find an egg with at prize slip inside) and another opportunity to take pictures with the Easter Bunny.
If you have any questions, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 882-1046.
