Y plans Indoor Farmers Market

The third annual family-friendly Indoor Farmers Market will be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Merrimack YMCA.

There will be a wide variety of vendors selling such items as farm-fresh eggs, beef, handcrafted candles and soap, jams and jellies, bread, handmade jewelry, homemade pet treats, vegetables and flower seedlings. There will be face painting for kids and a small petting zoo. A catered lunch prepared by Texas Roadhouse will be available for purchase .

Table fees are $40 if the Y provides the table, $30 if you bring your own and an extra $5 if you need electricity. Each vendor gets a 10-foot-wide space, and tables are 6 feet long. Applications are being accepted for vendor tables. You can complete the registration at www.nmymca.org. First, click on "Register." Search for "Indoor Farmer’s Market-2016, then "Register for Program."

If you are not a member of the YMCA of Greater Nashua, you must create a nonmember account and then register for the program to pay the reservation fee.

For more information, contact Briana Desfosses at bdesfosses@nmymca.org or 881-7778.

Last year, the event hosted more than 55 vendors – and a wait list of more than 25 vendors.

Proceeds benefit the Y’s annual campaign, providing scholarships to local children and families in need.

Admission to the market is free. The YMCA is located at 6 Henry Clay Drive.
