Local church to perform ‘Savior of the World’

NASHUA – Professional musicians, energetic youths and families make up this year’s cast and crew of a sacred Easter musical production titled "Savior of the World: His Birth and Resurrection."

Nearly 100 local members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have clocked thousands of volunteer hours to rehearse and produce this full-length musical drama.

The show portrays the events surrounding Jesus Christ’s birth and resurrection through the eyes of those who were closest to him. The musical score, lyrics and script were produced professionally, and the show has been performed on stages around the world.

"We have a beautiful show," director Margaret Busse said. "Through the dedication and inspiration of its actors, musicians and production team, this musical production promises to lift your spirits during this Easter season."

All performances are free, but tickets are required. Tickets can be obtained by visiting www.sotwnashua.com.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday-Friday, March 24-25, and 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the church, 110 Concord St., Nashua.
