Kerouac helps UNH
to second at EAGL

The UNH gymnastics team recorded 195.525 points to earn second place at the EAGL Championship that was held March 19 at the University of Pittsburgh; it marked the second consecutive year the Wildcats finished as runner-up.

The host school took top honors at 195.675. UNH was followed by George Washington University (195.350), University of North Carolina (194.975), N.C. State University (194.500) and Towson University (193.875).

Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Makenzie Kerouac (Merrimack, N.H.) tied for third place on the uneven bars with a mark of 9.825 to earn a spot on the All-Tournament First Team.

Nashua, N.H. – Rookie Tre Mason (Kelowna, B.C.) erupted for five goals and David Downie (Merrimack, N.H.) added three goals and an assist as host Daniel Webster topped Albertus Magnus, 11-2 Saturday at Eagle Field and improved to 4-2 to start a season for the first time since 2007.

Nashua, N.H. – Senior Anthony Cotoni (Groton, Mass.) notched seven goals and three assists for 10 points and David Downie (Merrimack, N.H.) posted five goals and an assist as host Daniel Webster opened its home schedule with a 21-3 victory over Johnson State Wednesday afternoon at Eagle Field.

Tre Mason (Kelowna, B.C) added three goals and an assist with eight groundballs and Adam Letarte (Milford, N.H.) pulled in a game-best nine groundballs and scored once as the Eagles bumped over .500 improving to 3-2 and bested the Badgers (0-1) for the 10th time in 13 all-time meetings.

Mason Phillips (Sackets Harbor, N.Y.) paced Johnson State with three goals. Dominic Caforia (Waterbury, Vt.) and Phillip Perkins (Brattleboro, Vt.) picked up five groundballs each.

Curtis Larade (Merrimack) and Harley Hagan (Red Lion, Penn.) split goalkeeping duties for the Eagles with Larade stopping two in the first half and Hagan halting eight in the second. Zach Shuttle (Georgia, Vt.) made 22 saves for the Badgers.
