Support Flood for Town Council

To the Editor:

The voters of Merrimack, like voters elsewhere, want to vote for candidates who are positive and respectful.

That is why we find it refreshing that we have the opportunity in Merrimack to participate in a local election and vote for a candidate for Town Council on April 12 who is both civil and nonconfrontational.

Jackie Flood is seeking a three-year term on the council. She and her husband have been residents and property taxpayers in Merrimack for close to 50 years. Jackie has a handle on the history of our town, including its needs and problems. She served one term on the Town Council a few years ago and is looking to return to continue giving back to our town.

Jackie Flood has been a member of the Park and Recreation Committee for many years. Her leadership and service to Merrimack was instrumental in spearheading the drive to make Watson Park the gem that it is today. She cares deeply about the appearance of our community and serves on the town center committee. Jackie Flood understands Merrimack.

We hope that you will join us in voting for Jackie Flood for the Merrimack Town Council on Tuesday, April 12. Voting will take place at the upper elementary school on Baboosic Lake Road. We can predict that there will be no traffic jams and that Jackie Flood will not embarrass us.
