Town of Merrimack seeks input on trail project
MERRIMACK – The Merrimack Public Works Department will host a "local concerns meeting" for the Souhegan River Multi Use Path project from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 30, in the Matthew Thornton Room at Town Hall.
Merrimack was awarded a Federal Transportation Alternatives Program grant to construct 2,500 feet of multi-use trail that would connect Watson Park to the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the Merrill’s Marauders bridge crossing the Souhegan River adjacent to the turnpike. The meeting is the town’s opportunity to obtain comments, questions and concerns from the public with respect to the project.
The town is particularly interested in hearing about historical and environmental concerns.
