Fish and game club awards scholarships
The Horseshoe Fish and Game Club of Merrimack awarded scholarships to two seniors in the amount of $1,000 each to Kellie Morin and Andrew Wojciak.
Wojciak graduated from Merrimack High School and will attend the University of Maine in Orono for a four-year degree in environmental engineering. Morin graduated from Nashua High School North and will attend Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass., for a four-year veterinary technology program. Both demonstrated an appreciation for the outdoors and related sports.
The Horseshoe Fish and Game Club holds a community fishing derby on the last Saturday in January each year to raise the funds for the scholarships. For more information about the club and the annual fishing derby, visit horseshoefishandgame.org.
