Restaurants holding campaign to benefit The Jimmy Fund

MERRIMACK – Through Aug. 7, customers at participating Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo locations will be invited to make a contribution to The Jimmy Fund, which supports adult and pediatric cancer care and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

As a thank you, customers will receive coupons for menu items at D’Angelo, Papa Gino’s and other retailers, including Water Country, Valvoline Instant Oil Change, Six Flags New England, Reebok, Polar Beverages, Golfsmith, Sully’s Brand and EverybodyFights.

Participating restaurants and stores are located throughout New England. Local stores participating in Grand Slam Savings for a Great Cause include the Papa Gino’s at 3 Continental Boulevard in Merrimack and the D’Angelo restaurant at 1 Executive Park Drive in Manchester.

Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo have raised more than $1 million since partnering with The Jimmy Fund in 2009. When customers give at the register, 100 percent of the contributions benefit cancer research and adult and pediatric patient care at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

"The Jimmy Fund supports such an amazing cause, and one that we feel passionately about," said Mark DeBlois, Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo chairman. "Thanks to the generosity of our guests and enthusiasm of our team members, we surpassed the $1 million mark in 2015, and look forward reaching additional financial milestones to benefit The Jimmy Fund."

"We are honored to partner with Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo as their exclusive cause marketing partner and are so grateful for their incredible support and commitment to the lifesaving mission of Dana-Farber and The Jimmy Fund," said David Giagrando, assistant vice president, corporate partnerships, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Division of Development and The Jimmy Fund.

"The generous contributions of their customers have accumulated more than $1 million, and these critical funds further our work in adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber."
